I am a visual anthropologist, filmmaker and researcher in ethnography and education through audio visual - originally from Florence, Italy, now based in Berlin, Germany.
My passion for my work began during my formative years at university in Italy, where I immersed myself in participatory workshops, field research, and multidisciplinary studies.
These experiences shaped an educational path that bridges diverse yet interconnected disciplines. Driven by a desire to integrate my core interests—ethnographic research, educational work, and audiovisual production—I pursued comprehensive training in each area, leading to my current role as a visual anthropologist at the Ethnographic Museum in Berlin.
My educational journey has integrated humanistic research, fieldwork, video production, and interdisciplinary collaboration with cultural institutions and foundations.
From 2016 to 2019, I worked in the educational department of the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, focusing on projects that promoted cinema and audiovisual media as educational tools.
During my Master’s in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at the University of Bologna, I developed my research thesis in Manaus, Brazil, at the Centre of Studies of the Indigenous Amazon (NEAI) of the Federal University of Amazonas, supported by a scholarship programme.
In 2019-2021, I accomplished my MA in Visual and Media Anthropology at HMKW (University of Applied Sciences Berlin) "On the beach of infinite worlds children's play" together with a group of adolescents in Sardinia.
In early 2021, I interned at the award-winning NowHere Media studio in Berlin, where I expanded my expertise into immersive documentaries using augmented and virtual reality.
Since September 2021, I have been working in the media department of the Ethnological Museum of Berlin, part of the Stiftung Humboldt Forum. Initially joining as an intern through the Eures project scholarship program, I became the institution's official videographer and contributor in June 2022.
My responsibilities at the Ethnological Museum include producing audiovisual materials for the institution, documenting projects curated by the Visual Anthropology section, and co-representing the department at international events in the field.
